THE FOLLOWING FINISHES are defined by the old US standard number system, still used by many Tesko clients. Additionally, the newer Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) numeric equivalent code is contained in the parentheses when it is available.
US2C (602)
This is a zinc plated commercial finish, usually cadmium on steel base metal. US2CD This is a zinc plated satin finish on steel base metal.
US2G (603)
This is a zinc plated finish to government specification. US2H This finish is hot-dipped galvanized.
US3 (605, 632)
This a bright, high-polish, brass finish used on brass and also plated steel.
US4 (606, 633)
This is a dull or satin brass finish on brass and also plated steel.
US5 (609, 638)
This is a satin, or dull, brass, blackened (antique), finish on brass and also steel.
US7 (610, 636)
This is a bright brass, nickel-oxidized and highlighted with bright relief finish available on brass and steel.
US9 (611, 637)
This is a bright bronze finish on bronze or plated steel.
US9A
This is a bright bronze finish with no lacquer.
US10 (612, 639)
This is a satin, or dull, bronze finish on bronze or plated steel.
US10A
This finish is used for Antique Bronze with a lacquered surface. Often used for hinges.
US10B (613, 640)
This finish is for Antique Bronze that has been oiled. Often used for solid bronze or brass hinges and oil-rubbed bronze plated steel.

This is a dull bronze, oxidized, finish used on bronze and steel.
US14 (618, 645)
This is a bright nickel finish used on brass, bronze, and steel. US14A This is a bright nickel, oxidized, and highlighted, finish.

This is a bright black nickel finish.
US15 (619, 646)
This is a satin, or dull, nickel finish used on brass, bronze, and steel.
US15A (620, 647)
This is a satin nickel, nickel-oxidized and highlighted (relieved) finish used on brass, bronze, and steel.

This is a dull black nickel finish.
US20 (623, 649)
This is a light finish typically applied to bronze statuary.
US20A (624, 650)
This is a dark finish typically applied to bronze statuary.

This is a bright chromium plated finish for bronze, brass, and steel.
US26D (626, 652)
This a satin, or dull, chromium finish used on bronze, brass, and steel.
US27 (627)
This is an aluminum metal, lacquered finish typically used on aluminum.
US28 (628)
This is an aluminum metal, satin anodized finish typically used on aluminum.
US28G (628)
This is an aluminum metal, gold anodized finish.
US28S (628)
This is an aluminum metal, statuary anodized finish.
US32 (629)
This is a bright stainless steel finish, used on stainless steel.
